Amethyst ShadowFX is a sun and shadow modeling program for architects and town planners. Shadow profiles can be quickly and easily generated without the need to input complex 3D objects, and data is presented in a highly usable and easy-to-understand format. Amethyst ShadowFX enables you to easily generate shadow profiles cast by buildings and other objects for any latitude, longitude and time of year. View various reports. Use the solar calculator to determine length and direction of shadows cast for any specific latitude, longitude, date and time. Perform shadow modeling for horizontal overhangs and vertical fins. Use the 3D modeling feature as a 'heliodon on your desk'. The program incorporates a FREE, fully functional CAD Viewer, that enables you to view AutoCAD DWG and DXF files versions 2.5 to 2000.
